- AVAILABLE NOW FOR COMMISSIONS....
- If you would like to commission me to work on a piece designed especially to your own specifications or have a piece made for a friend or family member please feel free to contact me , we can discuss in person your preferences , requirements , budget
- Commissioning an artist to produce a work of art can be highly
rewarding for both .The work is personal and unique,it will be
specifically produced for you and your requirements, and you build new
relationships. - Each commission will vary slightly in the steps taken
from conception through to completion, as each commissioner, artist, situation and circumstance is unique.
- Working on commission, creating a work of art on spec from scratch for
someone other than myself is totally different than selling a
finished piece at a show or at a gallery,or even out of my workshop/studio. - Selling
a completed work of art is an Event in itself where as Creating a work of art on
commission for another party is a relationship that is built from the prossess. - First write a brief document that essentially records all of your
thoughts and ideas on paper ,this is an important part of the commission
process as it establishes exactly what is to be achieved. It can also
be used as a point of reference when discussing the commission, also for the artist to refer back to during the work , Highlighted below are some key points you should
take into account or use as a guideline when jotting down your idea
- Who why or what is the work for?
- Is it for your home/work/hotel?
- Is it a gift or an investment?
- Are
there any constraints or special requirements? Think about dimensions and overall size
of the work, the space or area where the work will go, - What precisely are you looking for?
- Whats your budget?
- Then Contact me using the email address on the contact page or feel free to phone and talk through your idea personally .
- commissioned pieces require a prepayment of 50% of the final cost payed before any work is carried out or started (for materials&costs ) and the ballance once both client and myself are completely satisfyed with the work or finished piece .
